Pick a flavor ...
ANY FLAVOR!!
I have been on a big yogurt and granola (Kashi cereal - YUMMO) kick lately. Well, it has rubbed off on the Mr. too. He was running out to the store so I asked him to pick up a few things, including yogurt. Well, this is what Mr. came home with. But I'm not too worried. This has been my most favorite breakfast food the past few weeks and one of my favorite snacks. It's alot better than eating junk!! See, working on the 'healthy' resolution!!
Leah, there will be no cake for your birthday celebration on Sunday. We will be having yogurt! I think there may be a chocolate mousse in there. I will put a candle on it just for you! Kidding ... there will be cake - with yogurt instead of ice cream on the side. ha.

Our America is Beautiful!
Due to our "winter blast" I am at home today working. But right now I am watching history in the making. This is absolutely amazing. People from all over the world are tuning in on this very special day.
Are you watching? You should be ... no matter who you voted for. This is a first for our country and something to never be forgotten. I feel so lucky to be able to witness this first in the United States of America!

Winter Blast 2009
Chartown is expecting some major snow. By major, I mean 3-5 inches! :-) Not too bad for the Carolinas! Keep your fingers crossed that this winter weather rolls through so I can work from home and watch our new President be sworn into office. I won't get too political here - but I am excited.
It is starting to drizzle some and snow should start falling around 8. I have everything needed for a nice pot of vegetarian chili beans to keep us warm and Louie is waiting anxiously for her first romp in the snow.

Last Minute Guests
My SIL Amy and Mr. Chase are driving in for a visit!!! I was so excited when Amy called and asked if they could come in! I think Louie is the most excited of all of us because she will have a cute little boy to lick all over. :-)

Slacking Already
Okay ... so, Chris called me out on one of my resolutions I am not sticking with ... blogging.
Here I am!!
Honestly, I haven't had much to blog about lately. Life has been pretty low key after the whirlwind of the holidays. Back to work, back to laundry, back to errands, back in the swing of things. Well, those things never really stopped but the hustle and bustle of the past few weeks kept us all pretty busy. I promise we wear clean clothes. :-)
Andrew and I are on the hunt for our first house. We are going to our first open house this weekend before we get pre-qualified and find an agent suitable for us. All I would really like is to have yard (front and back), trees, a garage, fenced in backyard, 3 beds/2 baths, a HUGE kitchen with lots of counter space to bake, a his and her closet, double vanity sinks, whirlpool tub and a separate shower, a bonus room for Andrew, and a basement for storage. Is that too much to ask?
My favorite sister has a birthday coming up this month!! WoopWoop ... I will take plenty of pictures towards the end of the month with a recap.
Andrew is now playing playstation on our new 46" 1080p blah blah blah blah blah tv. The details are only ones that Andrew cares to remember ... but it is pretty bad a$$. I feel like a guest on Oprah, one of the girls in Sex and the City, and the next B. Davis on One Tree Hill. And Andrew has been kicking a$$ and taking names later with Jack Bauer.
Okay, well there's an update on our life. Nothing grand, but we love it and enjoy it.

Happy New Year!!
Happy 2009!
I can't believe how quickly 2008 flew by. Seriously, where did it go?
There is much to look forward to this year. First, following through with all of my New Year's Resolutions. Here they are in no particular order.
1. Take more pictures.
2. Blog more.
3. Be healthy - mind, body, and soul.
4. Volunteer.
5. Send cards for every birthday, anniversary, holiday, or any big milestone ... or just because.
I think that is a pretty good list to start off with.
We are also working towards the purchase of our first house. I cannot wait to have a yard and walls I can paint! :-) No worries, I will be recruiting for help with the painting ... Leah, you get the closets!! hehe
I would also like to go on a cruise ... but we will have to see how that plan works out.
I have a feeling this year will be fabulous!
